Fearless Patchwork with The 1876 Centennial Quilt:
1 Full Day Workshop $650 (6 hours)
2 Half Day Workshops $700 (2 @ 3 hours each, back-to-back or one week apart)
Blocks from the 1876 Centennial Quilt will be the focus in this skills-builder workshop. You will explore fabric selection and planning for a multi block sampler quilt like The 1876 Centennial Quilt, learn a variety of cutting (ruler, template, FRZ template, fussy) and machine piecing techniques (Y- seams, curves, set-in circles). The required class kit includes all instructions, patterns, and templates to make the blocks presented. The 1876 Centennial Quilt is a master level course in patchwork - everyone learns something valuable, confident beginner and expert alike, as they explore new techniques and hone their quilt-making skills. Everyone can become a Fearless Quiltmaker. Learn more about the The 1876 Centennial Quilt at www.1876quilt.com.
*1876 Intensive Boot Camp and the 1876 Retreat require each participant to purchase The 1876 Centennial Quilt pattern. Pattern details found here .
1876 Intensive Boot Camp 2 or 3 Day Workshop $1300 - $1950
Begin your 1876 Quilt with an intensive 2-3 day workshop. Plan your quilt, select fabrics, learn a variety of cutting and
sewing techniques, take home several finished blocks. Connect with fellow ‘76ers. Similar to the Getting Started workshop but with more time, more blocks and more personal attention….
1876 Retreat 5 day Retreat $3000.
Spend five days with your fellow ‘76ers learning how to bring all of your blocks and borders together into a completed top.
Once the 74 blocks are done there is still a ways to go; making the pieced borders, setting the blocks and putting everything together can be challenging, but, oh so worth the effort! Diligent sewers will be able to complete their top by the end of the week.
